Ms. Anita Bodde is a senior auditor with the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) in San Diego, CA. She earned a Certified Fraud Examiners (CFE) license in 2012 and has an MBA in Business Administration. Ms. Bodde has 16 years of government auditor experience working with the agency. 

The DCAA’s primary function is to conduct contract audits and related financial services in compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS) for the Department of Defense and other federal entities responsible for acquisition and contract administration. Specifically, DCAA helps determine whether costs are allowable, allocable, and reasonable. 

DCAA provides recommendations to government officials on contractor cost assertions for specific products and services. These recommendations assist contracting officers to have a better ability to negotiate prices and settle contracts for major weapons systems, services, and supplies. DCAA works to ensure contract audits are independent, professional reviews of financial representations made by defense contractors, and DCAA helps determine whether contract costs are allowable, allocable, and reasonable.
