Mr. Garber has 25 years of experience supporting NAVWAR / SPAWAR / NOSC, NAVAIR, NAVSEA, Air Force and Army C4ISR programs.
Ken has 30 years of combined active duty and reserve duty as a Navy Submarine Officer. He served on the USS Aspro (SSN 648) and the USS La Jolla (SSN 701). He also served three years as a technical officer at the Naval Ocean Systems Center (NIWC PAC) from 1989 thru 1992. Since then, he served as the Commanding Officer of seven reserve units and as the Officer In Charge of a Joint Forward Deployed Command. Ken’s final tour was to OPNAV N81 in the Pentagon.
Ken was the Chairman of the Board for STEP (Support the Enlisted Project) and has been on the board since it was stood up in 2012. STEP provides emergency financial and transition assistance grants to active duty and recently discharged enlisted military and their families. Most recently Ken was elected to the National Defense Industry Association (NDIA) San Diego Board of Directors and served as the Chapter President from 2018 – 2020. Ken is currently the Department of the Navy Gold Coast Program Chair. Mr. Garber graduated from the University of the Pacific in 1984 receiving his BSEE and then studied at the Scripps Institute of Oceanography and UCSD’s EE department. He received his MBA from UCLA in 2002.
