Retired Navy Captain Mel Yokoyama is the Founder/Chairman of a not-for-profit Native Hawaiian Organization (NHO) and the Founder/CEO of a for-profit 8(a) service-disabled veteran owned small business (SDVOSB). He is also the Co-Founder/President of an SBA-approved Mentor-Protégé Joint Venture. Prior to his retirement from the Navy in September 2020, Mel served as the first Commanding Officer of Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC PAC). Captain Yokoyama has over 30 years of operational and acquisition experience in Naval Aviation, C4ISR and Cyber. He holds an MS in Systems Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School, a BS from Jacksonville University, Florida and is DAWIA Level 3 certified in Engineering and Program Management.
